Neon Events at Solana Breakpoint
The Neon events were a hit; we couldn’t have asked for better engagement. More than 60 people attended each Demo workshop session, and over 200 people attended the Operator workshop. All sessions were also live streamed for those who weren’t able to attend in-person .
As for the Neon private party, turnout was spectacular. We were beyond blessed to be surrounded by so many friends, colleagues, and investors while celebrating our accomplishments. Despite being a party, the atmosphere was cozy and family-like thanks to everyone’s goodwill and support!

Aside from enjoying Lisbon, our team spent time with countless developers, investors, integration partners, and potential marketing partners throughout the week. We’re happy to report that the Solana community’s overall feedback on Neon has been stellar. To everyone that went crazy when we announced our $40M round, keep that energy. We have much more in store for you 👀.
The goal of the recent fundraising round was two-fold. The first was to seek out investors with market influence to guide business development, strategy, and product growth. The second was to generate capital to grow the Neon team.
Our product is rapidly progressing, and we’ve got big plans for the future. To keep that momentum going, we need to keep adding talented individuals to our A-Team roster. If you’re interested or know someone that would be, check out our open roles here!

Development Updates
The team identified a few issues with the Neon Web3 Proxy. Over the last two weeks, we’ve been working to remedy the problems and aim to have them stabilized shortly. Apart from the Web3 Proxy remedial work, the Neon Labs team has updated the Neon EVM on-chain contract and pushed devnet + testnet from version 0.3.0-rc1 to 0.4.0.
Lastly, as a sneak peek into some future updates, our developers are currently working on:
- Developing an SPL-ERC20 token transfer tool.
- Preparing a Neon token airdrop for early Neon EVM adopters. The purpose of the airdrop will be to drive Neon transactions upon mainnet launch.
- Integrating with bridges, oracles, The Graph, and other Solana-native contracts like Serum.
We mainly focused on Solana Breakpoint news for this edition; we simply can’t stop thinking about our time in Lisbon!
